The Sub-Saharan Education Project, Inc. (SSEP) is a United States-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to improve the quality of life in sub-Saharan Africa through education. We address the complexity of the challenges facing impoverished communities through the use of community engagement and mobilization.
At SSEP we believe that we are all one GLOBAL FAMILY and changing the lives of others has a ripple effect and just might will change your life too!
Research shows that education dramatically reduces poverty and significantly impacts quality of life. SSEP is built upon the belief that education is the long-term solution to poverty and is a core component in the success of individuals and the communities in which they reside.
It is hugely important for people EVERYWHERE to have access to education. Ghanaian children should be no exception. Unfortunately, despite the country being a shining example of political stability and deepening democracy in the West African region, Ghana’s educational system continues to be inadequate in its ability to provide basic educational services to its citizens.
